I always thought Marc Staal would be the worst defenseman on the team with the puck on his stick but honestly he’s leaps and bounds above Smith.

Smith really needs to not only be paired with a defenseman who will do the bulk of the puck handling and moving, but also know that he should defer to him at all timed. All that is dependent on the fact that he be good defending to pull his weight which he hasn’t been this year. Very disappointed with him.
