Unless they play the Kings again...
By your measure, the Canucks aren't a real contender, right?

My measure isn't based on one season. Canucks played 7 games in the SC finals. Blues won 4 games. They are an overrated team and they aren't winning ****.By your measure, the Canucks aren't a real contender, right?
BTW, you spelled Schneider and Galiardi wrong in your lineup. Not to nitpick, but just sayin'.

I agree too. Several teams will have an answer for the trap this year.
So you're saying they lost to a contender?Well .. they haven't so far. Blues are 4-1-0 this season. Their only loss was a 3-2 loss to the Hawks who are 5-0-0 this season..

Last year was an outlier for many teams. But it was just that. Last season does not mean that Phoenix, Nashville, LA, and St. Louis are the new WC powerhouses.Odds are the Sharks would win. They didn't really have very many problems with teams you would probably think to be contenders. The Canucks were admittedly an exception.

I agree with you to a point. But for me to consider the beating we took from the Blues last year as an aberration I have to see how we play against them this year.
Same goes for how they match up against the other teams they play. Right now they are sitting pretty good with a 4-1-0 record.
Its too early to count them out on the assumption that last year was an aberration.
Last year's Sharks team was definitely an outlier...especially with Shaw and Woodchuck running things.
Sure. But that does not mean that the Blues are not a good team or not a contender.
Why do people keep debating the merits of the Blues? They're a good team and they kicked our ***es in the playoffs. Show some respect, please.
Canucks, Hawks, Blues, Kings, and Sharks are all contenders to represent the western conference and I haven't seen anything so far to put any of them significantly ahead of the others.
Because most people do not care what happened last year. If last year meant anything, it would mean ghe sharks would lose to the wings the last 2 times they have faced them.
