Those cross ice passes are necessary, but if theyre NOT challenging our point men and collapsing then what? Continue allowing Trouba to shoot into shin pads?
What they aren't doing is getting the puck down low and behind the defense enough. Teams have scouted what we did past year, and we need an alternative. But, if we aren't willing to get in between the dots for the one timer coming from BEHIND the net, well then I believe we are just too easy to defend. A one trick pony, so to speak.

Never? Find that hard to believe. You didn't watch his early years? Anyway, he hasn't been "that bad", but def far below what I thought he would bring. He doesn't have same excuse Zbad has, his PK has been good, but something is amiss and it had "better not be" him feeling comfy with that contract. He needs to earn it and do what he did last year, and then some.

I meant when they try something lateral just before or right after entering the offensive zone, instead of going straight and deep into the zone. I actually agree with everything you said.

Yes sir, well then obviously we are on the same page. All too many times that pass is getting broken up, we just need to get it in deep and work really hard, set up that "bumper play", which seems to work in every other game I watch. Enough of this baby bullshit of everything from the outside. They have to have the mentality of "not being denied" . Wasn't that the mantra last year, what has changed?

And they didn't do shit on offense other than a garbage goal and an AHL scrub scoring.

Anointing Igor as the new goalie jesus after a 14 game sample size is one of the most stupid things this board has done.

I think he will be the guy but people were anointing him when he was in the KHL...two seasons ago...losing his job in the POs to Hedberg. His sample in the POs in Russia is real bad btw. Significant concern. But we saw the potential last season.
