WJC: 4th Annual WJC Pool - Full - Ongoing Updates

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. I guess we're starting. Not going to implement a clock yet as the first 2 rounds are too important, but please pick in a timely manner :)

Strome was my #5, I was hoping someone would take him so I could get one of my top 4. I figured Glory, being European would have taken this guy(he usually picks more Europeans iirc), but he's still on the board

I select Mikko Rantanen from Finland.

and that's the top 5 I was expecting to go 1 through 5.
 
hoping Rantanen is able to rack up the points in the weaker group.

Really interested in which players start getting picked now. imo there's a bit of a drop off after 5.
 
my rankings were

1. Nylander
2. Marner
3. Matthews
4. Rantanen
5. Strome

a little different from the order they were picked but they're all extremely close

How does something like an injury replacement work? If it's before the tournament then ok but not after?

anyone who gets cut or hurt before the tournament starts can be replaced(there will be a replacement pick draft immediately after the draft in the order that the picks were made, once that over and injuries/cuts are replaced first come first serve). You can't replace a pick because you thought it was a bad pick all of a sudden, if you pick someone who play then you have to keep them. Once the tournament starts your roster is locked, and any injuries will just be 1 less player for you.

So for instance say the 43rd, 57th, and 81st picked players get cut and the 77th pick gets hurt for the tournament then the draft ends, the replacement draft will go in the order 43rd, 57th, 77th, and 81st, and then say after the replacement draft the 57th picked player gets hurt for the tournament he can be replaced immediately, and then in the first game the 17th picked player gets injured, he cannot be replaced as the tournament has started.

If a player gets temporarily hurt however but still gets put on the roster because the country hopes he'll be healthy by game 4 or 5 or something, you're stuck with them. Only players who miss the tournament can be replaced.
 
Just making sure everyone knows, don't skip Lehner or anyone yet, we started earlier this year and the first few picks are too important to skip.
