Its not really that big a deal. Best Goalie, Leading defensemen and Leading scorer. Its not shocking that those 3 would be among the top 3. It will probably end with Lundy and McD at the top.

I think he was trying to correct his own mistake. I updated all the points to correct his mistakes and the 22-1=20 mistake on Kreider.

I'll grant you that. He should be up there and he played a big part in the performance of this team this year. Still, Stepan was very close on points and is the #1C on the team, Kreider is the #1prospect of the organization and they for some reason get a lot less love. However we are in agreement that it is no big deal and I won't take it further :)

Telling me to "mind my bleeping business" or shut up" really doesn't affect me one way or another, however I'll take you up on it since I'm not looking for a flame war. We're all fans of the Rangers and I'm not going to let a minor disagreement/difference of opinions get in the way.

I think Stepan, Kreider and Zooks will end up the top 3 vote getters among forwards. Last off-season I felt the votes showed a lot more favoritism because guys were voting constantly for 1 player. This season the votes are looking as I would expect them except for D Moore. It is a bit strange to see a 4th liner with more votes than some 1st and 2nd liners. Ditto Talbot lasting longer than Nash.

Is this a popularity contest or is this a MVP contest? I'm still trying to understand which it is. Doesn't make sense for Girardi to be lower than Dom Moore in an MVP contest, and it also doesn't make sense for Stralman and Staal to be lower than Brassard. It also makes next to no sense for Rick Nash to be one of the first players out if this is an MVP contest.

I'd call it a popularity contest. It also makes it more interesting, we already know who the official MVP is. It isn't totally off, since the 3 best players of the season are on top.

But if you don't like Girardi's face, give him a couple of negative points. That's how I look at it.

Fans favorites for sure play a role in most people's votes. I voted for Zooks and against Boyle multiple times. You voted for Boyle and against Zooks multiple times. What's the difference? You voted for the player you liked and against the player you do not like as much just like the rest of us. Zooks led the team in scoring so he deserves a good showing among forwards but he will end up lower than McD and Lundy as he should. He may even go out after D Moore because he has a handful of "haters" no matter how he played.
