From everything I've seen, Talbot seems like an awesome guy in the locker and on the bench.

Not to mention the Ghostbusters helmet.

The problem lies in the parameters of the game itself. It says the votes are based on, "favorites/valuable."

Fan favorites are not always very valuable. You can't have your cake and eat it too in most cases. Rick Nash is pretty valuable, certainly moreso than a back-up goaltender getting 20-30 games a year and zero in the playoffs, however right now the fans dislike him.

It should either be based on value to the team, or favorite players. Not both. The second problem being people are going to vote based on favoritism rather than value in any case so it's pointless to vote based on value regardless. Zucc and his fan club being the perfect example seeing as he is nowhere near as valuable as Henrik and McD, votes here be damned.

Those aren't the same. The idea of this elimination game (which is or has been played on pretty much every team board) is to rank the players based on value to the team, not to determine who's everyone's favorite player, qualifies for the extra effort award or comes from a certain country.

It's obviously just for fun and nothing to take too seriously, but when people rate MZA as high as Hank and McD and higher than the likes of Stepan, Kreider and Nash, not to mention a backup goaltender with 21 NHL games is eliminated later than a guy with multiple 40 goal seasons, it's just plain dumb.

It's not the "vote for your favorite player" game.

It may or may not. I think Lundy, McD, Kreider, Zooks, and Stepan may be the final 5. At that point I think McD and Lundy will end up as the top 2 so 3rd place will be between the 3 forwards.

I think Hags, Staal, Brass and MSL might end up a level below those 5.

I did. However if you are familiar with these threads you'll know that they've always been an importance/quality ranking.

It is of course not a big deal, but after your post MZA is ranked higher than Henrik Lundqvist. I mean. please.
