Great job by Binnington for sure. Stopped several good chances from Matthews and Tkachuk late. What was Matthews doing there, as he just let the best player in the world wide open right in front (unless it was another U.S. player blew the coverage that I missed).

One of the biggest challenges for the Canadian coaching staff was trying to figure out how to activate McDavid. The US had a similar issue trying to get their 2x 60 goal scorer going in Matthews. Just one of the many moves that worked out for Coop. Part of the nature of the business - you get it right you look like a genius, you get it wrong and you're an idiot.

Matthews is such a fraud. I was gonna rip on him earlier but he set up a goal. Then sweaty armpits can't score one goal in a f***ing must win game, then loses 97 right behind him. Dude is a total fraud. Big game player is something he's not.

Meanwhile, the dude constantly getting shit on - Marner, is dishing out helpers.

We played well but Binnington channeled 2019 and clutched it. We don't have a lethal game breaker up top. Eichels pedestrian ass acting like he's slalom'ing cones all game and the offense just couldn't connect. The ticket was to create chaos and we kept looking for backdoor and one timers for guys that... cant hit one timers. Lol. The game was there for the taking...

Bolts showed pretty well for themselves in this tourney. Maybe not spectacular but not bad at all. Watching Cirelli and Hagel do all the right things was a treat. Point had his moments, overall looked pretty good. Guentzel one of USA's best players. Tough go for Sweden but Hedman was a horse for them. And of course, Cooper seems to win wherever he goes.
