I can understand the argument on Cirelli not being on Team Canada but he and Hagel also rendered the Tkachuk line useless the other day. Not much real heat coming his way until the end of today's game. The "Cooper is a moron, Cooper is too stupid" stuff...just wow. Can't wait to quote those if Canada wins. I'm not his biggest fan, but the guy is one of the better coaches in the league at this point and has 2 (or 3?) head coaches alongside him on the bench. Blaming the coaches for these tourneys is so dumb.

Loving Guentzel's game for USA, he looks like a man possessed. Cannot wait to see this guy in playoff mode for the bolts.

This tournament and especially the USA-Canada game has exposed me to too many opinions from people who have never watched hockey before, specifically on Twitter, and I would like to take back everything I've ever said about wanting hockey to market itself better.
It's probably a benefit that the NHL has this time of the year to push hockey. Between the Super Bowl and March Madness. There's Daytona, but I don't think NASCAR has the cultural cache it did maybe 20 years ago.

Next year it'll be the Olympics, where hockey is competing with everything else the entire time.

I don't care who you are or who you root for. If you're not a Hagel fan after this interview, you don't love hockey. Freaking gamer.

I don't understand the Coop-Ted Lasso comparison. Coop was a coach in the AHL, USHL, NAHL, Tier III, 18U AAA, and USHS. That's the most hockey way of proving himself as a coach. He wasn't able to skip any lines because he was a good player.
