There is a consistent and fundamental error by the high forward trying to move up for a poke to get the puck back but its rarely successful and it results in odd man rushes for the other team. I wonder if it's been trained into them. Lettieri did it. Fast has done it. It cant be a coincidence that both of them make bad reads.
