So what's DVM's secret to longevity? Or Flashheart's?

Edit - actually mightyquack has been a mod for a long time, too.

Hmm, maybe it's just Sojourn.
Sojourn decided to go be an adult, and better himself. He’s still doing well, I keep in touch with him occasionally.

I simply use the South Park Christopher Reeve system.

I'm divided on us winning this year, but a happy Gibby makes it worth it. I really hope we get it together this year and put a better team D in front of him.

I've said this before but Gibby is a super competitive, intense guy. He plays so much better when the games are tight or he gets invested emotionally. You can see him check out when the game is out of reach or if the team is lifeless in front of him.

I'm not defending him. He took a big contract and refused a trade knowing full well this team was going to stink for a while. He needs to learn to show up every night regardless of what the team looks like with the money he's getting. But it's so nice to see games like last night and see he still has it in him.

Also what I really liked last night was how well he was moving laterally which has been a big issue for him this year. Makes me think again it's more of a mental thing than a physical one.

I have to give credit to Eakins , the line blender he did , they looked like a different team after the 1st period.

Eakins does line blend often when things need changing. I'm reminded of the first St. Louis back-to-back game where we promoted McTavish to the 2nd line and move Strome to wing. It was disastrous for every other line, but the McTavish line for the first 2 periods. Eakins reverted to putting McTavish back as 3/4C with Jones and Leason while Strome went back to 2C.

I'm glad Lundy's returned as dynamic Lundy, but also that Zegras' demotion to 2LW and 2C helped build Zegras' game back up again. It gives Eakins more talent to play with if things aren't working out.

Late in the game or just afterwards, Hazy said that the team gave up zero odd man chances in the game. He gave credit to the forwards executing the game plan well. I'll take that!

Feels good, because Colorado had been on a 6 game winning streak, got Makar back, and it wasn’t going to be an easy task. After that 1st period was like “Here we go again”, but then they did a total 180. Good for them.

I've been so tuned out due to the struggles this season that I didn't even know they played the other night. Found myself with nothing to do and also learnt that there actually was a game and decided that I can stomach a lifeless loss today...

What can I say? I love them wins! Not just a win but that was a great game with great effort and talent on display. I would love a bedard but there's no way I can watch the games and root for a loss. Not a damn way.
