[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

Excitement, joy, relief. We're proud. We've been working hard to get in. There's a lot of good teams now.
It's not easy to make the playoffs. We should be really proud of how we came together, especially the last three or four weeks.
- Henrik Lundqvist

It was as close to a playoff moment as you can get without being in the playoffs, was one of my most memorable goals.
- Ryan Callahan

I thought we played really well tonight. We gave up a couple 2on1s and that blocked shot for the third one.
But it was a different game than it was in Florida. We gave up 7 or 8 chances, so I am really happy with the way we stayed with it. That’s the way to win it.
- John Tortorella

Hope Biron starts.

LGR

(not going to edit, but I posted this while the Isles were losing. I would now be okay with either Marty or Henke tomorrow).

If the Islanders win, just win!

If not, well, whatever, we can play Biron and maybe rest Girardi/McDonagh/Nash.

Play Kreider for 22 minutes.

Score a KreidTrick.

KreidTrick (noun): when one plays a multiple of three of 7:14 TOI

If Isles lose, rest the top players.

Intentionally lose for the #7 spot.

Kinda like the top 2 lines.. Hope Kreider wont mess up his golden chance to make torts stop hate him

Because of Ryan Miller's mistake in the Sabres game, this game will probably be a must win if we don't want to face Pittsburgh in round 1.

Does he? why?

What if someone steamrolls into Lundqvist in game 1? What are you going to do when Biron has been stapled to the bench for over a month? You have to be confident all your guys are good to go at the beginning of the playoffs. Even if nothing happens - it's the mental aspect. You want the team confident in both netminders.

You don't prepare for that.

Is one game played by Biron going to make you any more confident should that happen?

We need to avoid Pittsburgh. Treat tomorrow as if we're in 9th place.

The game is 90% mental. The team needs to know that both goalies are good to go. And Biron does need to shake off a bit of rust.

As for Pitts, personally, I think they are ripe for a first round upset. So many personnel changes, so many expectations, guys standing around waiting for Crosby to come back....the right team can sneak in and take them out. Out of the Islanders, Senators and Rangers, I believe the Rangers have the best chance to do it.

If that happens then you start taking out their players.

Anyway, I hope there's another "season's over" chant :)

You do realise there's a very good chance the Rangers will beat the Devils tomorrow no matter who is in nets, right? The guys are on a high right now and the Devils just want to end the season already. This is pretty much a guaranteed 2 points.
