Flyers 2nd in scoring per 60 since 11/25. That includes a putrid PP.
4th in xGF/60. 6th in HDCF/60.

Tippett - Frost - TK 68 minutes,
Farabee - Couts - Michkov 22 minutes
Laughton - Poehling - Hathaway 143 minutes, 57.29%, HDCF 56.05%

Tippett - Frost - Michkov 127 minutes, xGF 58.08%, HDCF 47.82%
Farabee - Couts - TK 147 minutes, xGF 49.00%, HDCF 48.14%

York - Sanhiem 408 minutes, xGF 55.92%, HDCF 55.61%
Zamula - Risto 233 minutes xGF 57.30%, HDCF 54.47%

Andrae - Risto 112 minutes, xGF 65.18%, HDCF 60.93%

Shooting heater. 3rd in the league in shooting percentage for a squad that was near bottom of the league last season. That's going to even back out like it always does. It's a shame the team will be fooled and will act like they're legit, pretending they can actually make a run when they cannot.

We do this every year. They go on a lucky streak with sky high shooting percentage, you do victory laps, and then it blows up.

11/25 is a weird, bizarre cutoff. That date holds no significance.

It's not a shooting heater, it's a deliberate strategy to push for high danger chances v firing away.
They're attempting a lot of back door passes and trying to get players to the net for shots from the point.
When your actual scoring is similar to your expected scoring, there's no regression to be expected.

11/25 is when the Cates line was put together.

11/25 is when the Cates line was put together.

It is a shooting heater. Their high danger chances aren't actually very high danger because the setups for them are weak. I've explained this repeatedly now.

That isn't when the line was put together. They appear on 11/23 and 11/18. It's arbitrary.

Additionally, you're drastically overestimating the importance of a single line. Especially considering how much they lost after assembling it. Remember your mantra, "just win baby?" Where you assert that winning proves merit? There wasn't winning for most of that period.

So again, it's an arbitrary cutoff tied to nothing of significance.

11/18: Cates played with Richard & Michkov
11/20: Cates played with Farabee & Michkov
11/23: they played 5:58 together, only the 4th line played 10 minutes, 8 other combinations played 3 or more minutes
11/25: they played 9:40, xGF 23.41%
11/27: the played 8:01, xGF 30.73%
11/29: they played 10:34, xGF 86.05%

we havent had the yearly 10 game losing streak yet.. and its coming..

Someone mentioned the Flyers outplayed NJ, but 31 blocked shots says otherwise.
Blocking that many shots night in and night out will wear a team out. Maybe with the Four Nations interruption some guys can get their health back. If not look for a collapse later in the season. Too many guys will be nicked

11/18 Cates did pull a shift with Foerster and Brink.

It is an arbitrary cutoff that has no significance beyond your annual need to pretend that the team has miraculously become sustainably good.
