He always had good natural ability but I think wanted to do things the "right way" and knew he had to work on the stuff coaches love if he was to ever get into games. Now he's sorta getting a chance to flash some of that, IMO.

Yep. You remember correct. It's a reason I always kinda kept tabs on him. He seemed to have some creativity and skill. The smarts and terrific work ethic are nice to see, too.

100%, blueger deserved (and still deserves) to be a coach's pet. i think most of us thought that a year and a half before he was allowed to be. just comparing to others who bafflingly were. but so be it. just a shame if it leads to losing him

Literally everyone on the Carter line is playing the wrong position. Move everyone to the right place and I guarantee they play 100x better
