Agreed, he hasn't played in weeks and is a total liability.

The fact that we don't have anyone more competent than him to sub in the event of an emergency just exemplifies our lack of depth/poor roster construction.

We have guys in the AHL to call up, would have rather seen Haley there. I guess they figured Gilroy wouldn't be seeing much ice time so how could he affect the team as negatively as he has.

I agree. The beginning of the second period they had Carolina on the ropes. That penalty changed everything in the second period. You can't give anyone life no matter who they are especially when are special teams are sucking!

Hurricanes only have 4 defensemen. They should be tired as the 3rd period moves on. Grind them down and capitalize on their mistakes. 3rd period will be a lot better than the 2nd. No more Gilroy.
