Good character win, especially how they responded in the second (consistently their worst period) when they easily could have continued on tilt from the Poehling injury.

This third period Tortleshell continues to annoy me, but they have so few third period leads that it's a bit refreshing to be mad at this instead of a shitty goaltending performance.

Putting guys like Hathaway and Poehling on your top lines was insanely stupid and he stuck with it for like 8 games with limited success.

He's playing great over his last 20 games. Putting up goals and points. Playing excellent D. Being clutch. Winning pucks. Always in good position.

You can't give him credit because he's not fancy and slick? Would you mock anyone else on the team for putting up 9 goals and 6 assists in a 20 game span while playing terrific defense?

It's sad how the league keeps talking about eliminating head shots and then they let a contact with the head penalty like that go with nothing. Saw an almost exact same play, same type of contact, in a Bruins game where Koepke got concussed with a shoulder to the head as well just the other day. League not serious about this at all.

Glad they won but the Islanders are garbage.
