True, I certainly made it work I ended up playing juniors and in college, it's just a much harder position these days when you're undersized. Just frustrating when I'm giving up more net to shoot at and have to scramble just to make crazy saves when a huge guy, if he loses the puck will just go down and he's practically covering the whole net.
The best way to beat a big goalie is to get them moving. Usually the bigger they are, the worse footwork they have. Get guys in front, get them moving. You basically have to force them out of their butterfly comfort zone.
The problem with those criticisms is that they ***** that Hank has big padding. What difference does it make when guys like Anders Lindback, Ben Bishop etc are the same size by default? You never hear complaints about them for being genetically unfair.
