I said this in the Provorov thread:

I doubt it. The immediate blowback on the franchise for allowing him to play wouldn't be "worth it."

If that's really what happened you sit him for a game and likely no one asks about it other than "is a trade coming?". Now you're opening yourself up to this kind of line of thinking if it is in fact what happened but this team never does anything "right" so we'll see.
