Talbot is 9-3 and has a league leading 0.938% sv%.

Let's start 12-16, 0.908% sv% Ludquist imo.

smh

1) I hate watching our games on NBC

2) At what point in time ( or at the very least, the last 20 years ) has there been a true rivalry between the Rangers and the Blackhawks?

Watching the Flyers/Habs game on CI before flipping to our game....Philly is just so red hot right now, Sunday night is the game that worries me.

so, you are saying that all the games that the rangers play dont worry you? lol

unfortunately, this season is the one where i am worried about them losing each and every time they touch the ice.

Fans want to see Talbot start, but they really don't want to see Talbot start.

If they put Talbot in, and he let up 3-5 goals in a loss to Chicago, which is the most predictable outcome for either goaltender in this game, it would nullify a lot of the support he gets.

So, they're acting like they would love to see him start, but in reality, would rather see Lundqvist come in, struggle, to further push their argument for Talbot, and than use a strong game for Talbot against a team like the Panthers as validation that he should be the starter.

There hasn't been.

Rivalries Night = Any combination of big market teams.

You act like talbot starts easy games which isnt true at all. Hat to say it but nowadays Hank gives up 3 goals to just about anybody

Never understood if fans are so confident that the rangers will get killed then why watch at all?

Hasn't he started easier games, factually, by facing lower seeded teams on average?

That's common for a back up thought.

I'm just saying, fans want to see Talbot start tonight, but they would be in for a rude awakening if he did. Talbot hasn't face anyone close to Chicago this year.

EVEN if the Rangers play a great time tonight, Chicago is going to put up 3-4 goals (they average 3.6G/GM against better competition in the Western Conference!).

I know fans think Talbot would limit them to 1 or 2, but that wasn't going to realistically happen against Chicago.

He has been better, but people need to start be more objective about it.

Talbot hasn't been the best goaltender in the NHL. Or close to it. He is 9-3 facing lower seeded teams (every back up does) and the team generally plays well.

The best team he faced was MTL, where he had one of the easiest shutouts I had ever seen, and wasn't even the #1 star because the shutout was that easy.

He followed that game up with a 17 save shutout against NSH, where the game was so easy, he wasn't even recognized as one of the three stars of the game.

He has faced much lower competition overall.
