Upshall elbows Nabokov in the head and he proceeds to take his mask off and fall down like he's shot. 3 minutes later, he's up and about and back in goal. Strange.

We have 2 outdoor games in 3 days next year. **** that. I hate those games. The ice can be shotty thereby increasing the chance of injuries. Count me in the hate category for that. One game I dont mind, though Id prefer it was the actual Winter Classic, which should be the only outdoor game in a season.

Dominating is a bit hyperbolic. We won with regularity, but we weren't slaughtering the opposition. Personally, I find last years team to be incredibly overrated.

The point is, we found ways to win games. Doesn't matter how we did it, we still found ways to win games. All the way up until the ECF. There was a point where we had over a 10 point lead on the 2nd place team. This year, this team is finding ways to LOSE games, not win them.

To be honest, 2 goals allowed on 6 shots, Lundqvist still is the player of the period for Rangers. Nobody else is showing up.
Could say Brassard, had some good passes...or Stepan, but Zero goals on the board shows something.

on the first goal he had idiot Strawman standing right in front of him, and a pretty good shot by Shenn....

That second goal was pure crap. this guy needs a rest.

“@AGrossRecord: #NYR say Brian Boyle will not return. He appeared to hurt his right leg.”

“@KatieStrangESPN: #NYR According to team, Brian Boyle will not return”

lol. C'mon Kersh. That 10-11 team had a whopping 1 playoff win. Not exactly world beaters.

That 10-11 team was mostly blue collar guys and more exciting to watch along with many individuals to cheer on.

I'm sorry, there are few players I like on this team based on their play this season.

This team... it's like watching stone age hockey. Boring, no creativity and emotionless.

1 outdoor game a year is more than enough.

Yes? And that's a drastic improvement from placing 30th the year before.

You made it sound like a good thing to be the 10-11 Rangers. It's not. And they won't look as good when Bob doesn't have a season as good as this next year.

You complain about "stone age hockey" yet laud the 10-11 team?

They really aren't playing as terribly as everyone on here is making it seem. The first goal was a lucky bounce and the second goal was on Nash's skate. They've had chances and will eventually pot a few goals. Although I admit Richards is beyond terrible.

So we trade Gaborik and a lot of Picks for Brassard, Clowe and Moore. Except the first game after trade, Gaborik is just flying in CBJ. So Torts is the answer. Maybe thats why Richards is struggling. Damn.
Hear Lindy Ruff is a good coach.

His track record disagrees. Ruff has accomplished nothing. Wouldn't be an improvement on Torts at all imo.

I thought Girardi had a pretty good shot on the PP that Mason caught. More accurate from Girardi than what I would expect.

Every time Girardi scores the announcers bring up how he was a producer for the Knights in the OHL and has a bunch of offensive talent. I feel like we see it in extremely short bursts and then it vanishes for half a season.

I don't.

We weren't winning game 5-1, 6-1, but we generally would take a lead and then score several insurance goals while shutting the opposing team down. They also came out of the gate a LOT better than they have this year.

Last year, the team was greater than the sum of its parts. This year? This team is the equivalent of 2+2 = 1.

I thought we got pretty badly exposed in the post season with our system and roster. We rode Hank with even more dependence from that point on.

Hopefully, nothing is serious.

As a fan, this helps out the Rangers.

Well, with only a handful of games in the season: the Rangers are not going to do a coaching change.

They made their decision when they traded Gabby away(which I was fine with).

Only possible way Torts gets the axe is if the Rangers miss the playoffs and struggle yet again at the start of next season.

Spot on, but I'm still always a fan because of the name in the front, not the names on the back. I'm just crossing my fingers so Tortorella is gone sooner rather than later because this roster is capable of SO much more its not even funny.

Hey now. I think I can have a pretty good season next year.
