Maybe Rutherford will take Sully with him back to Vancouver and Pens are rid of the bean town favorite. What a contract of 3.5 more years to prove his smurf system is the cutting edge in hockey.

The system in itself is fine, but you must have the roster to execute it. We do not.
Too old and slow for retrievals and relentless O-zone forechecking.
Our blue line isn't good enough offensively either. They aren't capable of taking advantage of how often they get the puck at the point when we go low to high 10 million times a game.

Smith is a step in the right direction if he becomes a regular, at least. He gets his shots through nicely and times it well.

Can't tell what I'm more grumpy about - Rust being on Sid's line, or the fact that the NHL is incapable of starting games on time.
