Allvin isn't even the GM to be honest, he was barely settled into the Assistant GM role before JR plucked him away, I think JR is still the voice he's leaning on to help him and thats not good. You look at the Canucks roster and they essentially stripped all of the grit in their bottom 6, didn't fix their D and they're paying for it with being a very streaky team with zero consistency.

That's a misconception. Allvin is fully the GM now.
Rutherford is regressing to a lighter role in his old age. He doesn't want the pressure anymore.
