Your reverse psychology didn't workI cheered against us to lose this game.

Both teams were shorthanhded. Go for a walk.Against a shorthanded team. Again my whole point was that Canada isn’t the mighty superpower they think they are
lol Brady would fight anyone,Hagel and Bennet aren’t scary. Now if Canada had Tom Wilson, that would be a lot different. IMO if Wilson was on the ice the Tkatchuks don’t fight.
Maybe? But he’d fight different against Wilson. He’d wrestle more and throw less. Wilson connects and it’s lights out for BT. Wilson is a legit heavyweight. Bennet is tough but a lightweight.lol Brady would fight anyone,
We'd be strutting too if we had won, but I have no issue with how this team (as a whole) showed up in this thing.
Keep coping. Lots of Americans had different energy after Saturday and prior to puck drop for the finals. Suddenly "we don't care that much". You know your on a hockey board right? So a country whose national sport is hockey defeats a country where the sport is basically only for the affluent in a few pockets of that nation (and needs overtime to do it) and we're giddy?

For sure. Both are big boppers. Wilson will fight a heavyweight bout willing to trade face shots. He’s used to that risk. Brady T won’t do that with a guy like Wilson.Brady connects lights out Wilson.
I canNOT believe how poorly he played. It was shocking.I think the US would have won if Jack Hughes had played.
Yeah like his brother, anything for the camera.lol Brady would fight anyone,
Yes it only would have made our win better. Hell of a game.My biggest disappointment, and the fans, was not seeing McAvoy and Hughes on the blueline for the final game. Maybe in '26.
I feel like Zach Werenski is being overlooked here.US team missed Quinn Hughes. Their D was good but they had no superstar like Makar.
Hahaha. I feel your pain. Sucks eh? Hell of a game but again the better team won.My point is Canada can gtfo with all the talk that they are head and shoulders better than everyone. Never seen a group with bigger inferiority complex. Canada got humbled this tournament

Canada was missing Morrissey... Makar missed a game.. Theodore injured in the 1st period of the 1st game. Pietrangelo dropped out before the tournament. Thats Canada's top 4 defensemen right there.US team missed Quinn Hughes. Their D was good but they had no superstar like Makar.
They can make a movie about the round robin win...Americans always do this, we knew it was coming. It happens most tournaments when the US happens to beat Canada in a meaningless group game, we hear it non stop about how its "their time" only for Canada to win when it matters.
We wouldn't have heard the end of this if the US won, that's why I'm enjoying every bit of bragging about this win.
Werenski is good. But he’s the level of Morrisy for team Canada. Not like Hughes and Makar level of difference maker.I feel like Zach Werenski is being overlooked here.
And when you don't bury those chances a team ends up paying. Great two games between best teams in the tourney.Dominated the OT until then and didn't bury it. Always seems to play out that way.
Matthews and Fox both leave McDavid to cover Marner in the corner. Sigh.
Outside of Matthews and Tkachuk no american forwards showed up last night
Yeah, I didn't like Hughes on the wing. I think he's a guy that plays best at his natural position. Probably needed a bodyguard or two on his line as well, and that's not a criticism. The 4th line was disappointing to me. I would have rather brought Tuch, Thompson, and Robertson. Honestly, we played pretty well considering a lot of the forwards were AWOL.Play Hughes at center or don’t bring him at all because his game does not lend itself to that area. Hes not direct or good enough on the walls to contribute at this level at the wing.
I’d swap Nelson for Tuch, and one or two of Keller, Tage, Robo.
He didn't do much this tournament, and I guess the idea was to bring Kreider in and run Binnington. LOL.Can someone explain the logic of sitting Kyle Connor? He doesn't look like much but the guy is an assassin. 2nd most goals in the league and you keep him out for Kreider? Huh?
How can Devils fans expect to make a deep playoff run after watching that? He looked legitimately scared out there, bailing out of the hard areas and getting knocked on his ass all week.I canNOT believe how poorly he played. It was shocking.
