I cannot wait for USA vs Canada on Saturday. Not having a competitive best on best for this length of time is unacceptable for Gary Bettman.

He was sloppy with the puck all night and had a bad gap on the first goal + plenty of breakout passes in F’s feet. I expect a bounce back Saturday.

He wasn’t as bad as Connor, who looked completely lost and brings very little to the table besides finishing

I think Finland is my least favorite team for them to play against but the boys did their job. They carried a lot of the play and the floodgates eventually opened up.

First place after the opening games.

The skill difference is clear but we try to make it as hard as possible for the opponent.

Going to be a fun game on Saturday. USA knows if they win in regulation they advance to the final no matter what. If Sweden wins earlier in the day it could make it a must win for Canada too. Going to be a lot of fun.

The tickets to the finals were really expensive when they went on sale but it really looks close to sold out. Really curious to see how much interest in the finals tickets drops if it's not USA vs Canada.

I'm going to try to go if the US actually makes the final since this has been one of the few sports bucket list items I have left and it's not a bad drive to Boston.

If Sweden wins on Saturday (4 total points) it does not make Canada’s game against the US a must win. Canada still has Finland to play to get 5 points even if they lose to the US on Saturday. Then Canada’s fate would be in the US/Sweden outcome. And remember they have the tiebreaker over Sweden if points are equal.

Werenski didn't have a great game, but every time he lost the puck or looked like he got beat, he nonchalantly made a great recovery. Such a heady player. Never gets rattled. He belongs on PP1 with Quinn unavailable.

I thought the line changes helped a lot in terms of meshing better lines together. I thought Connor and Larkin struggled, hoping they have better games against Canada.
