f*** right off. Nyquist is 35-years old on pace for 35 points. Yes he had 70 last year due to getting spoon-fed by one of the best wingers in the game, on top of that he brings no defense. You might aswell have gone with Garpens favourite Janmark.
He is hoping for Forsberg - Nyquist chemistry. We can expect Nyquist playing in the top 6

Accordin to Sportexpressen this is the roster:

SPOILERS

Pretty expected roster. Nyquist would've been contending for a spot at the start of the season, but I would've thought he'd played himself off the team. Same with Arvidsson. But I guess Hallam prioritizes past performance over form.

I would've taken Eklund and Zetterlund ahead of them, but in the end I don't think it will make a world of differnce

Nyquist is the real headscratcher. RV is versatile enough that he doesn’t need to play in an offensive role to be usefull. But I really can’t see how the 24/25 version of Gus is gonna contribute at this level.

So Foppa questioned the toughness (surprise surprise).

To answer it Hallam talks about the gritty players, but then also about toughness as in veterans who have gone far in the playoffs. The two names he brings up is Nyquist & JEEk... Which is a weird selection, and why I bring this up.

Nyquist has gone past the first round three times, and past the second round once (2019 finals with SJS), and JEEk has never gone past the first round. There's much better choices to bring up on that point haha.

Goes to show how much förbundskaptener really know, eh?

Lindholm was robbed.
He's out long term. If he just could stay healthy...

Well, Sweden usually has a couple of those.

For sure, and that should be the focus of the team. They aren't going to out gun CAN/USA offensively.

To me it's a no brainer to take Backlund over Nyquist, Zibanejad, Arvidsson, and even Lindholm given their respective play this year.

ZBad was a lock this summer, you hope he wakes up.

Nyquist/RV is weird but at least RV brings a good defensive game alongside some energy. But still.

If Nylander is not a center in nhl, then he’s certainly not a center in this tournament

You want Nylander at center?

Alfie to be an assistant coach.
Good news

Also Myles Fee. A Canadian, is one of the assistant coach. I like that. He is assistant coach for Florida Panthers. Its fresh and exotic. Something new.

No weakness. Solid everywhere. Absolutely everywhere. The d is beautiful.
I’d argue centers are a definite weakness. Their top two centers Zibanejad and Pettersson are both well out of form, to put it nicely. And we’re going on many months, arguably past the 12 months threshold at this point.

I don't disagree.. I am fan of both guys though and think they can pull it together for a tourney. The D and G combo is pretty comparable to US IMO.
