kind of a dick move not picking him considering he is much more loyal to the NT than some scrub like Ristolainen, but he'll have a good chance for the olympics. I'm certain of it.Wtf no Jokiharju?
I thought he was a lock to make it.kind of a dick move not picking him considering he is much more loyal to the NT than some scrub like Ristolainen, but he'll have a good chance for the olympics. I'm certain of it.
Barkov is captain?
Risto says hello…I find it super weird that Jokiharju is not there. He is our 2nd or 3rd best defender and the only right hand shot besides Hakanpää. Jokiharju has always delivered in the national team too.
Forgot about him that idiot Risto who always declines..Risto says hello…
Rantanen is a pretty decent winger tho..Finnish offense is the exact opposite to Russia - very good down the middle and weak on the wings
There will be no weak links in top six, which also includes probably the best winger in this tournament. Bottom six will be solid NHL players but a lot worse.Finnish offense is the exact opposite to Russia - very good down the middle and weak on the wings
They might need Rantanen to play on every line. They are very thin on the wings.
I'm not surprised about risto. He has no problem playing for Finland if it's best on best. Skoda cups are beneath him, but doesn't mean he won't answer the call when the lights shine the brightest. He played for Finland in the 2016 world cup. A season after he was cut from the Finnish whc roster by Kari Jalonen.Line combinations can be anything really, the duos or lines aren't too easy to guess.
Would have liked Kotkaniemi, Puljujärvi, Tolvanen and Maccelli ahead of Luostarinen (who has brilliant hot streaks), Armia and Haula.
Pärssinen would have been cool too, but he needs to leave the Preds first.
Lehkonen - Barkov - Rantanen
Hintz - Aho - Laine
Luostarinen - Granlund - Kakko
Haula - Lundell - Armia
Very surprised and slightly disappointed to see Ristolainen there. I thought he was in the process of declaring for the US.
