I haven't seen Buffalo games enough to comment on Jokiharju. All i know is that there have been guys scouting his every single shift during this season and giving feedback if he's suitable for this team. Same with all other d-men.

Yeah, Jokiharju was the only real surprise. Though, it is still possible that he makes the team if Hakanpää can't stay healthy. Hopefully Finns avoid injuries.

I find it super weird that Jokiharju is not there. He is our 2nd or 3rd best defender and the only right hand shot besides Hakanpää. Jokiharju has always delivered in the national team too.

Rantanen is a pretty decent winger tho..

There will be no weak links in top six, which also includes probably the best winger in this tournament. Bottom six will be solid NHL players but a lot worse.

Luckily it's a tournament, not a season. Top six will carry anyways, and there will be plenty of firepower for PP.

Meh. Not worried about the wingers. Hintz might play as a winger, Granlund should play wing, Lehkonen is great in his role. Armia, Kakko and Luostarinen are fine for bottom 6 duties. Teräväinen is the one who I hope improves during the season. Laine is a question mark, how will he look like as the season progresses.

Pretty much as expected, apart from the truly baffling choice to omit Jokiharju. I thought the RHDs were all no-brainers if healthy.

Goalies were BPAs based on this season. Everyone knows that Saros will start, I don't expect any issues with that.

Teräväinen will be either on Aho's line or out of the lineup. Shame about Maccelli's poor season start, would have been fun to watch otherwise. But we do have enough playmakers anyway.

Glad Laine and Kakko are there. We need all the goalscorers we can get and Kakko is a great utility F who doesn't mess up.

Would have liked Kotkaniemi, Puljujärvi, Tolvanen and Maccelli ahead of Luostarinen (who has brilliant hot streaks), Armia and Haula.

My pick to win this one. Was curious if JP or.KK made it. Guess not.

Perfect playoff team.. great goalies, solid d with a stud, strong c and wings are weaker but not bad.

They will be taking a stalked team to a 1-0 victory and driving that nations fanbase nuts.

I'm not surprised about risto. He has no problem playing for Finland if it's best on best. Skoda cups are beneath him, but doesn't mean he won't answer the call when the lights shine the brightest. He played for Finland in the 2016 world cup. A season after he was cut from the Finnish whc roster by Kari Jalonen.

Defence is the weak point on paper - on the other hand we tend to overperform pretty regularly and our team defence can be pretty damn tight. Not a bad team!
