People will talk about for a day or 2, than the NHL trade deadline comes and people forget about it.
Haha so true!!

It was Matthews playing a big game in Boston. Of course we were doomed from the startMatthews should not have been captain. We were doomed from the start. USA hockey always finds a way to let you down.
I was wondering who on earth left McDavid wide open in front of the net.....It was Matthews playing a big game in Boston. Of course we were doomed from the start![]()
This year wasn‘t best on best either. Team Finland was reduced to 3 serviceable D-men instead of picking from Europe.
But well, anything so Canada sneaks into the finals.
The real final should be USA vs. Sweden, who didn’t lose any game of real hockey (3v3 is just a TV gimmick) and actually already beat the US.
So, Sweden actually is the best team…after Team Finland who already beat them.
But the final has to be USA vs Canada, because TV and so…
There was a recent election and the new president said some things about Canada... If this tournament happened 6 months ago... there'd still be chirps but not like last night.lolForgetting politics, it's amazing how much dislike Canadians have for Americans. Many posts were above and beyond standard banter before a sporting event.
- As for the hockey, I expected nothing but it wound up being great.
- I found it difficult to cheer for the Tkachuks even when they were on my team.
- I was impressed with Brady Tkachuk's play. He is a gamer.
It has been 9 years since best on best. Having seen the 4 nations tournament, what is your surprise takeaway? A player that has surprised you? Maybe a takeaway from a nation perspective?
For me, I am surprised that outside of Mack, mcdavid, point or Crosby, getting any depth offence for team Canada has been almost non existent. Reinhart has been underwelming offensively, and marner play just reaffirms what I thought of him, pretty useless in a high intense environment unless it’s 3v3 pond hockey.
What’s your take?
Forgetting politics and thinking about this in terms of sports: let's imagine hypothetically that someone with a lot of power in one country tried to tell you that your country shouldn't exist as a country. Now imagine how sports fans of that country might react in a game between those two countries. LolForgetting politics, it's amazing how much dislike Canadians have for Americans. Many posts were above and beyond standard banter before a sporting event.

I really want Sens in playoffs, Brady Tkachuk is beyond intense.. Hate when Kings play against him, but love to watch him playBrady Tkachuck is built for the playoffs, hopefully Ottawa gets in, what a tournament.
Team USA:
Excellent:
1. B. Tkachuck
2. J. Slavin
3. M. Tkachuck
4. J. Guetzel
Disappointing:
1. J. Hughes
Won't be for long though your juniors are doing great thingsCanada > USA right now
No denying that fact
Cheers Canada … you were better then us
I won't discuss it further either but the reactions you are seeing are based on current events, there's no way around it. To bring this back to hockey I'll say that your team was super impressive and I was impressed by the majority of Boston fans in the final given everything. You are totally missing the point and we are probably about to get banned. What I am talking about is nothing to do with public figures. It's the dislike of the average Canadian to the average American.
