Again, I think matinpalo is way better than even we think.

Thoughts on the USA Finn game

- Can’t explain it, but Laine can’t play hockey while skating, he can only do anything while standing still. He makes beach balls jealous the way he floats

- Keith and Chantal Tkachuk like Brady more - they smiled both times Brady scored and didn’t smile either time Matthew scored.

- Matinpalo did fine - lesson from Brady Takchuk on how to be a power forward on their battle goal, lesson for defenceman how to basically just tackle Brady Takchuk in that situation where he has half a net to work with.

Hopefully they do Team Europe next time with Finns, Germans, Czechs, Slovaks and Russians.
Even one-game tourney Team Europe - Team North America to replace All Star weekend would be fun.

Make it so that they can take players from any countries, including those that Canada and the US left off their roster, but if players defect to the pirate team they can't be recalled to Canada or USA.

I know people don't like fun stuff like this, but that would have been awesome. Can you imagine how much piss and vinegar that team would have as a mix of people whose countries weren't deemed marketable enough and others who were left off of Canada or USA. You have Connor Bedard who was effectively told he isn't it.

Brady has been MIA for the Sens for weeks seriously, hopefully it was just because of the anxiety for this upcoming tournament and he'll be back to form when the NHL season resumes
