I don't know but these are some dope names in my opinion. If you asked me on a street who do I think Dante Maximilian Figula is.

I would have guessed a famous renaissance painter. :D

There might be German sources as well but Red sport just added all games of this tournament to their schedule. These streams will be free and legal but as I said it in the other thread, they might be geo blocked so you may need VPN to watch via Red sport.
Thanks for the tipp, I already thought the tournament would be completely behind a paywall like last year. I will at least be able to get the evening games. Looking forward to see what Neuenschwander and Domenichelli can do against international competition. Bit surprised to not see a few expected names such as Blatter and Valerio Weber on the roster, by the way. I don't know enough about the class yet to say if those are actual snubs. But looking at the SIHF selection practices from the last few years I am gonna file the ommisions under incompetence and or corruption anyway.:D

Oh. It's actually most certainly behind a pay wall. My bad. I only see now that unlike the Zug tournament it doesn't say "free".

Anyway, at least there will be cameras and you'll be able to watch. You can still decide if you wanna pay or watch via the usual streaming sites.

Oh well. Strange decision to monetize such a tournament, but it is what it is. I guess I go through the usual chanels then.

They usually show all games of national junior teams for free. Guessing they have additional costs for this one. I don't know if they organize the broadcast in Germany themselves or if they pay for the rights.

I have no knowledge about the reasons, but since the availability of live streams for tournaments played in Germany has been in decline for while, I would suspect that our federation is to blame. Stream availability and quality has been quite embarrassing lately. And since there are links to the swiss streams on the DEB website I am pretty sure those are the only ones.

How is the federation unable to provide a decent stream for tournaments like this, when I can watch several U13 league games for free on youtube in 4k?
And those games have better production, too.

It's a shame they can apparently not afford to provide better service to the fans.

David’s kid in net…that’s pretty cool. I know Hnat’s kid went high in the WHL bantam draft. And I’ve heard ya’ll talk about the younger Neueschwander brother already. Seems the Swiss 08/09 generation may hold some promise?

Also Weber any relation to Yannick? I know it’s a common name but figured I’d ask since he is with Zurich and that’s where Yannick is.

Yeah. 08 and 09 look promising for now. We'll see how it shakes out.

I don't think they're related. He's certainly not Yannick's son. Yannick's wife, Kayla Price, Carey's sister, gave birth to their first kid, a girl, a month ago.

I mean that's certainly true but Hockey Canada can't seem to manage to broadcast all Hlinka Gretzky games either. At least there will be cameras at all games of this tournament.

I don't know the reason. Melicherik and few other 2010 born players already outproduced most of the 2009 players that were nominated to the tournament.

The other 2009 that are still clearly better than 2010 decided to play abroad and therefore didn't get an invite to the tournament.

If you find a boxscore for this tournament you may not want to trust it, if this first game is any indicator.

Germany is leading Austria 3-0 after the first period, and they got the secondary assist on at least the first two goals wrong, when they announced it in the arena. Not sure about the third goal, I will have to check that again later.

$ 8.77 per game o_O

How much is the game pass? I Cant find it

It says $ 12.90 for a month of games pass but it only contains soccer?

Ok there is a eishockey - montalich for $ 12.90 month

I think people outside of Switzerland cant buy a monthly subscription

I did, but maybe it's different for Germany. However, the price kept increasing. It went through 3 steps including the seletion of the monthly subscription, and with every step the amount went up. I understand why it happened at the last step, because I made the payment viw paypal and there is probably a fee for that, but I ended up paying something like 15.33 CHF.

I am honestly glad they ended up losing. Even when they were up 4-0 they were not really playing that well. So, I feel the loss will teach them a much better lesson than a win would have.

Austria was way more engaged and energized especially in the 3rd period. The longer the game went on the slower the German players were moving, and they were not fast to begin with.

Congrats to Austria for scoring 6 unanswered and winning 6-4. There are some skilled players on their team and they really put in the effort so props to them.

Doesn't look like somebody is streaming the game though the usual "dubious" chanels. Maybe a stream will pop up later but I am not counting on it. Monthly game pass on red sport is not worth it for me just to watch two games. Its not like I am gonna have time to watch a lot of hockey during the rest of August or in September. I am paying to much on online supscription services of all kinds as it is right now.

I really want to pay for the monthly pass but I am stuck at the select your favorite team panel.

Sorry to hear that, I hope it works out for you. I am fairly sure the U20 tourney won't be behind a paywall.
