Me, I'm watching the game and enjoying some nice 14 year aberlour with the fam. Also didn't Canada go up 3-0 vs the Swedes first game? Still lots a hockey to play.

I wouldn't get too crazy about drawing conclusions vs Finland because McDavid is punching down on a roster that's probably a Wild Card team, but you gotta recognize the fire. Our guy, just drawing down on accumulated star reputation and just nothing special. Matthews frustrates me so much. Showcase event and taking a backseat to the Tkachuk Brothers, division rivals to boot.

Yeah, Konecny is definitely the Rob Zamuner. Sanheim is fine I guess but Dobson, Bouchard would definitely give this team a little more offensive octane and more of a high end feel.

I would have taken Bouchard over Doughty as a replacement to Pietrangelo, but Doughty has been very good so no complaints.

I think on Twitter the best way to put is that Team Canada kinda picked like it was the Olympics but it's not as tight....

I'd have taken Weegar over Doughty and Wilson over Jarvis, so we have some physicality of our own to take on the US.

I'd have taken Weegar over Doughty and Wilson over Jarvis, so we have some physicality of our own to take on the US.

Jarvis is really good but yeah, definitely would have taken a few other options over him quite easily. Moreso Sheifele. Next time Canada has a best on best tournament, they'll have more spots for the younger options to take over.

That's it exactly, he's stop and start, McJesus is pure speed. I like the changes.

Point's perfect for mcdavid . He's fast and drives the net letting mcdavid carry the puck .
Mcdavid sends everything straight to the net either carrying it or shooting it. He needs to play with someone who is going to also drive the net .
Marners not that guy, he needs the puck to be effective and tries to slow the game down .
One thing really noticable is how hard speed is to defend . All 3 goals so far because of how fast we are .

A lot of people got their eye on marner to see where he staxx up to the rest of the league not as good as he wants to get paid like that’s a issue for the leafs and as much as we’re Canadian that Stanley cup means more than this

Although I completely agree with you, but I do think it is best not to compare any players to McD as he is really on a level by himself.

Our guys really don't have that switch to dominate when the going gets tough, which is really sad.

Doughty has Team Canada pedigree and magic for sure but he's just coming off injury so yeah it was a judgement call...

I will admit if he snubs 88 million from us on a team friendly deal, I’d prefer that he walks and gamble on being able to sign McDavId.
