I read in the Sun that the boo birds were out for the US national anthem. I heard a couple of boos, but not enough to be a story. Mathews was booed because he's a Leaf.

I may be wrong here but i think the broadcast turns down the booing a bit. I saw some video footage from the press box and around the arena where it sounded louder.

I was cheering for Canada and they lost, but I think that Four Nations is great.

I watched bit of it on the TV while browsing on my phone.

Maybe should have been the other way around?

Anyway, goaltending pretty important, and the talk about Canada's poor goaltending has been ongoing for quite some time. Not getting the stops, and the other team has Top 3 in net? Maybe league MVP this year?

If anything perhaps shooting the puck might make a difference.

They have to beat Finland in regulation. So its not exactly like a game 7 or a semis. Even OT heroics means they are likely done as Sweden will beat the US if they are staring at that chance Monday night.

Not sure outcome will be the same if the teams play the same.

Officials can influence how a team plays, and larger ice surface.

No not all all. Just pointing out that in tight pressure filled games, they tend to be low scoring and D and goaltending dictate the outcome. In this case canada's goaltending sucked, that 2nd goal should not go in. Outside of Mcdavid alot of very high end players couldn't manage a sniff, not just "leaf" guys.

I hope so but hang it up in the dressing room anyway and look at it again. Look at it every few minutes. Make sure it's the last thing everyone looks at before going on the ice.

Matthews looked 100% capable of playing a deep hard nosed playoff series. He was excellent vs Canada and the only thing is he didn't score. Hockey wise he was great.

Marner is a write off to me at this point and Nylander needs to be used tactfully
