Absolutely. All of these guys and coaches seemed very happy to be there. And the building of course was electric.I think you are short selling how important it is for these guys to suit up for their country.
The Cup will always be #1 for most, but most of these guys have never had a chance to play for their country at this level.
Hurt not playingMay as well keep an eye on Risto.![]()

Random question to random poster. The NHL doesn't ever get much right, but this tournament has been a great idea. The players are 100% invested. All-star game can die.
Keep the politics out. These are good American hockey kids. Why?
Meh, the US brought the politics into it, so I don't mind. I think it's a much different scenario than when NYI boo'ed the Canadian anthem as an example.Keep the politics out. These are good American hockey kids.
Fentanyl mega labs in BC and organized crime in bed with our politicians brought the politics into it.Meh, the US brought the politics into it, so I don't mind. I think it's a much different scenario than when NYI boo'ed the Canadian anthem as an example.
Personally, I think I'd just sit through the anthem. Wonder if anyone would join.
I'd rather the variety in opponents. Not sure how they expand this though as there are only so many NHL players to pick from. Maybe a team Europe (Germany/Russia/Czech etc) and young stars North America type of thing ?Random question to random poster.
What do you think about 7 game series North America vs Europe
It’s 100 percent hakanpaa is on the teamI just realized that Finland will win this tournament.
Solely because I was thinking “you know what, there’s a 75 percent chance a Leaf will be celebrating an international championship so that’ll be a confidence boost in the post season.”
Matthews seems to have the jump early on.
