Yeah but were they making 13 plus, lol
They played hard it wasn’t the regular season fluff. There’s marathons and there is 400 meter racesIt was only a 4 game tourney and they were just in Boston. I don't see why they need a break

He is a spatial awareness wizard. That's his big skill because little guys need awareness to survive. Not many guys his size can hack the NHL.
He did really well and was a big part of winning it for us. Binnington was MVP that game was over without him.
Marner in the corner near the goal line wasn't a threat at all. Some light pressure by Fox would've been fine, but there was no need for Matthews to jump in and leave the dangerous slot wide open. If Nelson comes in to help, then it leaves Makar wide open for the backdoor
Only Fox was out of position initially because he tried to stop the puck, but he was going towards Marner in the end.
The Dcore I can’t see changing.I am already wondering what the 2026 Canada Roster looks like in the end.
This tourney provided a lot of good insight for management going forward.
Not sure if the some of older players are going to make it for 2026.
He should have stayed to prevent McDavid from having a clear, uncontested slot shot.
Making a mistake because someone else made a mistake isn't the best approach.
Anyway, I think he did Canada a big one there.
We should appreciate the goodwill gesture.

Tavares didn't see the McDavid goal on Thursday night.
"I went to bed after the third period," the father of three said with sheepish smile. "I turned it on this morning. My kids get up at the same time. You never know how long the game is going to go with how well both teams were playing, how tight the game was."
Overtime started at 11:15 pm and the routine-oriented Tavares was already pushing it.
"Usually I like to get to bed a little bit earlier," the 34-year-old said. "You definitely stay up, but then once you go to OT it's not like what we saw Saturday with 3-on-3 [between Canada and Sweden], and it's 10 minutes [long]. That's the nice thing about DVR. I was able to tape it and then wake up and watch the end of it with my family."
Tavares is as detailed a player as you'll find and sleep is a crucial component of staying in top shape and fending off Father Time.
"I love as much as I can get," he said. "There's nights that are better than others, but any time you can get a good solid eight hours it puts you up for success. I wouldn't say I got quite that, but I was happy I got what I got and saw a good result when I woke up."

So , is Marner worth 14 million?
Shouldn’t those two be worth more than 14?I like Marner. There are only 2 players in this league worth 14 million
Marner isn't one of them

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Paul would lose his mind if that player was not his son.Great question.
Without a Salary Cap, how much could the elite players command in the NHL?
IMO, without revenue sharing and no Salary Cap, McDavid and Matthews could easily hit $25mm.
Leafs - Matthews:
Revenue sharing 6.055%*$320MM = $19mm, without taking into account the $12mm they are paying after the revenue sharing.
Perhaps each team should have a "franchise" label for 1 player?
Maybe they could do the next 4/5/6 Nations Cup in Buffalo.Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Paul would lose his mind if that player was not his son.
Who's Paul?Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Paul would lose his mind if that player was not his son.

Buffalo would need Franchise player.
NO but why is 14 million the number we’re discussing ?So , is Marner worth 14 million?
Ship has sailed. Dallas recently acquired him for their playoff run.Two players that really stuck out to me in the 4 Nations tournament were Slavin and Granlund. Slavin I always knew was really good but seeing him against the best players in the world and he was incredible. Granlund I always thought was a meh vanilla player but he was dangerous every game for Finland. Making me reconsider whether he’d be a worthwhile target for trade deadline.
