Proudly Canadian.
Well done Boys !!!
Hockey is Canada's game.
It's a play that sums up Fox pretty well... he's a talented offensive player, who often is lost defensively.Check post 3518 just couple posts up. Zybalto explains it pretty good after asking about it as well where I read somewhere that Fox was the main mistake that started it all.
Canada did not have anybody who could crush a player like Brady did multiple times last night. Also scored a goal. He was definitely the most feared American player for multiple reasons.Brady didn’t put fear in you? He was a menace and the best player on the ice

To be fair Canada has been booing there anthem.american fans (trump supporters ?) booing O Canada was disgusting
it was Fox who followed Marner into the middle on the tying goal tooIt's a play that sums up Fox pretty well... he's a talented offensive player, who often is lost defensively.

I thought Rantanen was bad, was really impressed with Morrissey and Jarvis, Harley too ofcWho does everyone have?
Players that stock rose
Werenski, Marner, Harley, B Tkachuk, Bennett, Slavin
Players that stock dropped
J Hughes, Marchand, Stone, Fox
Nope. I wanted that Matthews shot in OT under the bar. That is a Leaf victory for me.Leaf fans who are also Canadians have to live vicariously through victories like this, to get those precious memories.

Sorry, I don't think Nylander had a good tournament at all to be honest, three shots in three games, marquee minutes and PP, he really didn't distinguish himself from what I watched (granted only saw two of his games, highlights the other). Just saying, it was a C for me. Matthews got better as the tourney went on, I thought last night was his best game.Leafs wise, I thought Marner and Matthews had a strong tournament. Marner had to play multiple different roles from being on a offence line, to going to the 3rd line as a "Shutdown line". Nylander tournament was good too, but I don't think he elevated his game.
Matthews didn't score but was probably Americas 2nd best forward, he had a really strong defensive performance shutting down most of the elite players this tournament. (1 missed assignment doesn't change anything).
Tournament helped see players you don't always get to watch, Brady Tkchuck is going to be a problem come playoff time, he's built for that. Guentzel was always a solid player, but he stood out a lot this tournament. Thought Hughes & Reinhart weren't very good.
