I’d like to see McDavid with Mackinnion and Crosby with Marner.
The speed of the first pair would be extremely difficult to handle and the second pair are strong skaters but overly fast skaters.

Hockey Canada in a nutshell. We just saw this at the WJC. Always the smartest people in the room, just pick your 12 best forwards and go from there. So much deadweight on the roster. That bottom 6 is gross.

Marchand was a legacy pick, his peak as a player came during the two Olympics that there was no NHL participation and he was quite vocal about his frustration. He's definitely past his prime now..... Honestly, I think they did JT dirty. Tavares has a strong track record with Canada and is honestly a better player than Marchand or Bennett at this point, even Jarvis. Cirelli has turned into a pretty good two way C so you can maybe argue that one a bit but JT is still the more talented player.
