I know it's not actually that big of a deal, but it's still kinda crazy that the Penguins have 4 actual top-6 wingers this year. The Penguins haven't had that far more often than they have had that during the Crosby/Malkin era.

Yeah. It's physically impossible to play like 20 year old Sid when you're 35. There's a hard choice for him to go 100% now or to have him anywhere near healthy for the playoffs and he's been making the right one for 5 years now.

Have they ever had that? Lol.

Yeah they had it way back in the day, in like 2008. Back when Crosby and Malkin were on ELCs so they could afford to have all of Malone, Sykora, Hossa and such.

Maybe you could say that Dupuis, Kunitz, Neal and Jokinen was that as well? But I think that grasping just shows how much better of a spot they're in now with their top-6 wingers.

He came within an inch of scoring 2 goals last game, so he’s been getting in the right spots. The bigger concern for me is that Jake isn’t doing much of anything.

It's not Sid's brain that's the issue. Even when he's not skating at all he gets into good spots.

I just hate that he's not moving his legs and seems shy against contact. It makes me think he's nursing either a wrist or groin injury or something.

He did have that awkward tumble after one of his goals. I wonder if he tweaked something
