It's more than Pete...the Urbom thing was sort of like a bad omen for the season, then the Opening Night fiasco, then the home opener fiasco with the goal song, then last night and now this whole Larsson/Fayne/Josefson thing. Considering we're barely a week into the season it's not good to have all this baggage already, especially with all the nonsense of this offseason.

Larsson shouldn't be sitting over Volch, but he has been crappy still. He's not showing anything. Yea he's 20, but I don't see the skill showing and he has very little grit. He's gonna have to make virtually zero mistakes for him to be an impact player because he's pretty meh in all areas.

I'm so glad people are coming to terms with the fact that Larsson is just not ready or just not that good. I mean, he was projected and passed up at 1st by how many teams and we were licking our lips lmao. Don't get me wrong I like him, I'm glad we have him, but he needs to become more aggressive. This is not practice. I can see him being traded by next year if we see no progress.

No I don't think so. Larsson sat out the first 6 games of the season. Then he was brought back in and Tallinder was put out.

Then Tallinder had that ''Heart to heart'' with Pete. And I think he was back in the lineup the next night. I think Fayne was benched to get him back in.

I'm right there with you. Between the Urbom fiasco last week, the shutout last Thursday, the goal song debacle/shootout loss on Friday, choking away another 3 goal lead last night, and the bizarre lineup changes today, this last week has been an unmitigated disaster for this team. They've really sucked the life outta me and were not even a week into the season. I'm absolutely dreading this game tonight because there's a good chance it will get ugly. Going back to last March, watching Devils hockey has been a chore more than anything.

but on the same token...the same friggin token can you believe it we have shown seriously awesome potential. We're badass all at the same time. his system works. We just have a few players undermining it and someone needs to step in and let him know when to call the dang timeout.

i can see Lou sending Volchenkov and Larsson to Toronto for Phaneuf and a 3rd. somebody start the rumors!!!

It would be a horrible decision. Rather trade for Yandle if we are upgrading our D (Use Henrique as bait) and I won't trade Larsson. The kid has 105 career games as 21 years old defenseman. He will one day be a great defenseman for us.

I really hope Henrique doesn't pull a Zajac and become a max 40 point player. We cannot afford to have our 2 top centers(even though he's at wing now) to play that way. That much money given to players with that kind of production will sink us.

I know you guys are feeling pretty negative... But you have Schnieds, kid is a ****ingg beast. Everytime the nucks played like **** he'd always bail us out. We would win too. Kid is going to be a superstar. Don't write off the devils this early into the season.
