Not calling you clueless, but Harrold really has been one of the Devils best defensemen, and unquestionably the most versatile.

The hatred he's getting after 3 games in which he's played all-in-all fairly well, while simultaneously having to deal with the lead Volchenkov anchor around his leg baffles me. Sometimes I think these things almost start as board memes and catch fire regardless of whether they make any sense or not.

I'll tone it down and cut him some slack. After all, he is stuck with Volch, and that is no easy task to take on.

With Harrold, Volch is clearly worse and a giant anchor. If Harrold had someone that could cover better it wouldn't be as scary. That said Volch isn't going anywhere so I'd prefer someone less risky with him.
