I know literally nothing excites this team more than keeping the puck out of our own net. But at what point do we address the fact that it is ridiculous that we figured out our PK, defensive zone structure, correcting Vasy's self care and his puck tracking in about 6 weeks. But hey. No big deal that our PP is still under construction with 6 games left.

Thank God I am fully convinced that next season is when our patience is going to be soundly rewarded. And that this year we need to just trust the process

I think we are actually the #1 team in goals now. It has a lot to do with the fact we haven't beaten teams, we have destroyed them. If we don't lead the NHL 6+ goal games I will be surprised. I am just more worried about what happens when teams start checking us tighter. Our 5 on 5 is effective but streaky. Eh. That happens. That is why I point out my concern with the PP. That #1 PP did us no good last year and I feel like we still figuring out what we want to do. It really worries me that we can be in a situation where we HAVE TO score with a man advantage and all we get is Kucherov hopelessly throwing the puck into the slot to Point covered by 2 guys

That said I really, really, REALLY don't want "We will just cross our fingers and pray the other team doesn't score twice before we do" as our go to strategy for the 4th year in a row. All because we can't get our act together and score a regular goal whenever a team throws the kitchen sink at us defensively.
