We need a top 4 dman, and instead of adding to this group we are likely to lose talent this offseason

The NHL salary cap structure can go f*** itself so much. We've lost homegrown talent year after year for no other reason than because they developed and played too well for us to be able to afford to keep them. We're not the first it's happened to, I know Chicago had the same thing happen to them many years ago after their first Cup. It's just such an annoyance. Successful teams get punished for being successful.

Maroon and Bogo will still be there, but Perry and PEB are likely gone. PEB is still solid defensively, but has nothing for offense. There are multiple Syracuse guys ready for a shot. ABB has, hopefully, turned it around and can have an impact next year, and one of Ryfors or Goncalves could also challenge for a spot.
Yeah I have to think this is the end for Perry and Belly. Bellemare is 38 and Perry will be 38 in May. Bolts love their experience, leadership, character, ect, but time will really slow them down, as it has already. Maroon is also in his mid 30s and it's hard to have a trio that old together in a young players league.

I don't see the team improving much next year.

We'll see what happens. 2 cups. So much fun these last few years. Looks like the window is closing though. We've mortgaged the future but I'd still do it all again before this years decisions. Jbb after years of great trades totally missed. Jeannot is awful. They have some decisions to make. The slide has started. How much do they want to slow it down or speed it up and rebuild. Probably give it one more shot before breaking it up.

It can f*** itself because it NEVER goes up due to COVID. My God it should be like $96 million but NOOOOOOO

Belle and Perry can both probably go. We need to get younger and faster

Serge, Perbix, Cernak, Hedman, Raddysh. We need a bottom pairing defenseman. Perbix and Raddysh both proved they can play top 4.

I just at 25mg gummie to numb the pain. I got one more if it's not enough

Yep killorn is gone for sure

Colton probably wants a pay day

Tanner what do we pay him ?

Vasy needs some defenseman
Tanner doesn't get a big offer, 1 year conditional at 1.5 at best.

Colton might be gone.

Killer goes home to a big payday.

Bogo, Perry, Maroon, Bellemare, Gone.

Cole, if he stays on the cheap might remain.

We will be the 2024 version of the 2020 Blackhawks.

Brace yourselves for this.

Window isn't closed by far. If Vasy and Hedman are back to usual next year, and there's no reason they shouldn't be, Tampa is very much a top 5 team. Another year of exp for Raddysh and Perbix, and Tampa will get a boost from Syracuse in the middle/bottom 6. The only real ? US backup G and trying g to find a solid 3LD for cheap.

Walk in the park series with Game 5/6 Vasy throughout. Shame we pissed away a year in this closing window vs. a team and fanbase so undeserving of any success. NHL Officiating is still some cowardly shit.

Perbix and Raddysh standouts for me this year. Glad we were patient with Raddysh and let a late bloomer, bloom. Perbix will have a long off-season to train and get stronger and ready for the rigors of a long season.

I think they will have to dip into their prospect pool vs getting market free agents. There's plenty of options there, just a big unkown if any of them can make it or contribute regularly. I believe in Groulx and the way we develop guys in Syracuse, but until we see it, you really never know. I had high hopes for Koepke and he didn't really show well enough, and vice versa I had little faith in Raddysh and he did great.

Proud of the fight shown by Lightning. No doubt this group hates to lose and I didn't think they'd play as well as they did. Especially after so many are banged up, they couldn't afford injuries this season. Plus, I'm worried Point is injured worse, he wasn't the same puck hound on D after getting hurt. Even Kuch's slamming into wall probably banged him up. I'll tell ya, they've put their bodies on-the-line over so many playoffs. I know the Lightning lost their best chance to win series when they blew that 4-1 3rd period lead. Leafs are a good team and you can't do that in a series when every game counts. Sometimes, the other teams players step-up. They did that by winning 3 road games in OT and deserve the spoils.

Like I said, we're proud of the players and not even upset. Nothing went Lightning's way this whole 2nd half of year and it's amazing we're this competitive considering the injuries & departures. Lightning organization did an OK job extending this cores window and that was no easy task with salary cap(Also not going up because covid). Our GM trading for players, with good contracts, help extend an already impressive playoff resume that had 3 deep playoffs runs. The last 4 yrs, those trades helped Lightning reach 4 more playoffs, win 3 ECF titles, get 3 SCF's appearances, and won 2 "Cups". Some tough decisions had to be made, and we lost loved players, but we can't complain because I think they did about the best one could do with the situation. Disappointing end but I think a long off-season won't be such a terrible thing.

Go Lightning!!!!!

Yeah, I will be cheering for any other team to.lift the Cup over that franchise. In any professional sport I follow, I have never seen such a crying, entitled fan base for a team that has literally won nothing of consequence for nearly 60.years. The way probably 75-80% of their fans act, you'd think they were some kind of perpetual dynasty, not a perpetual choke artist.

I'm not ready to call Perbix or Raddysh top 4 dman yet, both have are good and both have their flaws.

Maybe, but the right side seems pretty set for next year. Only 3LD needs to be addressed, with Bogo as the 7D. Plus, Tampa has 3 fairly talented dmen prospects in the system, with Carlile, Thompson and Schmidt not that far off.

A nice dman and a faster fourth line and I really think we're right back here next year with more fire.

I'm really not that mad. Kind of relieved that for the first time in 3 seasons I get to watch the playoffs without a care in the world. The boys need rest and so do we lol

I wonder what the buyout cost for 91 would be next year.....

Don’t watch, screw this league after the Bunting hit. Screw the Leafs
