Keep them at arms length, and spank them boys.

Good on the guys to bounce back quick after the Leafs got back in it. Taking game 1 was huge and taking game 2 will be even bigger. Only things they need to fix are key faceoffs and the PK a bit.
To be fair, the Leafs gave us back the game with moronic prowess lol

Very anxious to see the injury report.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but this has some real “won the battle lost the war” if Hedman and Cernak are out long term.

We look good though!
You are definitely being a downer.

...but also not lying

Avs taking an L tonight in that soft ass conference would be great

....They just rolled over and died.
There was a lot of disrespect going into the game from the media. There was reporter that gave Coop a dumb question yesterday about not being the favorite this series or being the hunter instead of the hunted, to which Coop replied we've been in the Finals the past 3 years and we plan on making it 4, which I made sure to add to the GDT.

This must feel damn good to the guys in that locker room, but they've probably already turned the page like the veteran group they are.

They can enjoy the win for the rest of the night, but tomorrow the page gets turned.

These guys are like Brady level of confidence now. All business in the postseason. Just another game. Nothing they haven't done or seen.

If I'm a Leaf fan, I'm more upset about the lack of heart than the score. Hard to imagine our guys going down without a whimper like that... although we likely would go too far the other way and everybody would wind up suspended.

The truth is that 15 years ago Cernak is probably back in the game. "He just got his bell rung, he'll be fine". I'm not advocating that at all but that is how far the league has come on concussions and rightly so. In fact, they still haven't gone far enough as far as I am concerned. In any event, it's got me wondering, how many concussions has Cernak had? The number is getting up there and is starting to become concerning not just for this playoff run but for his long term health.

Everything with Toronto is mental. When you're on a seven-year 1-and-done streak where you've lost nine straight times when you've had a chance to clinch a series and been eliminated on your home ice three years in a row (including the 2020 bubble since those games were in Toronto), it's pretty unavoidable. We're all too smart to get too far ahead of ourselves after one game, but one thing we've seen this team to many times, including three times in the last two playoffs, is open up on the road, win the first game, and then go win the second game as well. Losing one home game isn't a deal breaker for Toronto; in evenly-matched series I generally believe the road team needs to get two road wins if they expect to win the series because I expect the home team is going to win a road game themselves at some point too. But the Leafs cannot drop Game 2 and expect to win this series, and so we need to be able to leverage that pressure against them and tun the tables.

I said beforehand that I didn't mind the Leafs having home ice here. Frankly, playing more games in Toronto than on the road is the last thing the Leafs need. You need a steak knife to cut through all the tension in that building during playoff games.
