I had to check up the record (because the consensus is we always lose the first game of a playoff series under Cooper) and it's actually closer than I thought!

23 losses
20 wins

Would love to see a good start of the series (but prepared it might not be the case), Go Bolts!

Expect some serious weirdness today. Either its going to be a f***ton of calls, or its going to be baffling at the lack of calling even the most blatant things. I don't think there is going to be a middle ground.

Hi everyone!!!
Thanks to this amazing GDT, I noticed TOR comes into this series with bettr numbers than ours.
Better D, better PP, better PK, better Faceoffs W.
So, my head says we're gonna lose this series.
My only key to win is that Vasy won't be trash. We need a .94 Vasy at least.
If he'll be, more or less, as good as TOR goalies, it'll be really hard.

The leaf fan's crying about the refs hasn't stopped since last years series.

This year's series hasn't even started yet and its already at ridiculous levels.

I can't imagine what it must be like having a persecution complex like that.
There's a couple of them that could probably benefit from some professional help.

An Oracle from the Lords of metal

Sleep took me late into the night. I found myself in a desolate valley covered in stones. I could see an empty lake bed and what looked like fragments of wood. A man with the appearance like Jimi approached me. "Come" he said. "Where are we going?" I asked. He said nothing but merely motioned. And for 40 miles we walked in silence until we reached another empty lake bed. The stones chafed my feet, the heat was sweltering and I had water neither to drink or wash wish. I could see three more lakebeds in the distance making a total of five. "Do not look at them for how they are right now" the man said.

He motioned his hand and behold, the stones of the valley rolled into one place. They mounted atop each other slowly, ever growing. The wind blew from all directions and grains of sand gathered forth unto it. They rolled upwards from the earth racing to heaven. I covered my eyes and I screamed in terror. Surely I was to die and this was no dream. But behold, the winds stopped and the last stone raced to past me like one flees from an enemy. And behold, a great mountain had been built and the last stone travelled up the face of it and rested nearby the edge of a freshly made cliff.

"I chopped it down with the edge of my hand" the man told me. "And with these hands I can rebuild it" he motioned and behold, the sticks of the valley gathered unto themselves and became like a guitar in his hands. Another gathered into a large stick with a curve at the end of it. "What does this mean?" I asked him. "Come see" he replied and took me by the hand. He led me to the face of the cliff where the last stone had gathered. I stood at the rebuilt mountain some distance up.

He played a beautiful melody and rain and thunder gathered. And behold, three of the lakes gathered water and two did not. No matter how much rain poured into them. The thunder played like a drum. Lightning struck in symphony to his solos. And behold the very power of life poured from his mouth as he sang me a prayer of hope. He ended with a final verse that sang "Glory is not without emptiness. But there times your cup runs over. These lakes are tribute to your success and the shortcomings that have made your greatness what it is today" And I saw the three lakes freeze and the stick in my hand changed from wood to something smooth yet more flexible. He called a black rock to the face of the cliff and behold, he fashioned it into a disc of pure vulcanized rubber. "Use the net you will find down there and gather twenty to play upon the surface of this water. Do so in love. For your reward will be a silver chalice and smiles like that of children"

I put out my hands to gather water into them. And the rain was sweet like wine. The further I descended the mountain the more wakeful I became. And then I woke to the sound of music playing in my room. To the sound of Jimi's voice

Let the bodies hit the floor. Let's open the flood gates on them early. Make their life hell and let them know Champa Bay is here to take the win and demoralize the Leafs one win at a time. I believe in the boys know how to win in the playoffs. What do the Leafs and the titanic have in common? They both look good until they hit the ice.

A few years back I was in Nong Khai, Thailand when I spotted a guy wearing a Leafs shirt. We had a (thankfully) brief conversation In which we confirmed our different hockey allegiances. That night the Bolts played the Leafs and beat them handily.

Today, I’m in northern Spain and I just saw a guy wearing a Leafs hat.

It can only mean one thing.
