I also have a bad feeling that Georgiev is starting because of his past performances against the Leafs and because Gallant said we’ll find out who’s starting at game time. .929 save percentage vs Leafs for Georgiev

Lastly, looks like Barron is on the 4th line with Rooney moving up to 3C and Goodrow in Kakko’s spot. Would rather we tried Barron at 2C with Panarin because I still don’t think Panarin-Chytil works. Spread some offense out

I would be fine with Barron getting some 2c minutes but not at this time. Panarin has been struggling and you don't want to burden the kid with 2c minutes when he hasn't had much time in the NHL. Also, Chtyil has worked his ass off to even get a chance at 2c and bumping him off after one game for someone with a handful of NHL games probably wouldn't sit too well with him.

I wouldn’t break up that 4th line. Those 3 guys know their roles and seem to be clicking well together.
Insert Barron as 3C and bump chytil to 2C
Some of the wing combos may change a bit. I’d expect either one of Blais/Goodrow with on 2nd with Bread/Chytil. Imo it should Blais. He’s earned it with his play. Also, keeping goodrow with Barron would be the smart move in case he doesn’t do so well at the dot

I think what we are seeing is Gallant trying to find a way to utilize both his 3rd and 4th lines for about the same amount of time tonight. Spreading out vets and 'rookies' by not having Gauthier and Barron on the same line. In theory they could throw Barron on the Blais-Gauthier line but that then becomes the teams 4th line more than likely which means people would be upset when he gets 5-7 minutes.

Gallant can't control Panarin?

When he's producing, his sins can be overlooked. When he's actually a liability out there, yeah I'm going to call it out, just as you love to do with Miller. Panarin is always gonna do his own thing.
