I genuinely can't stand AV. Just seeing his stupid face behind the bench all the time enrages me. I know I'm not alone in disliking his coaching, but does anyone else just hate his dumb/smug mug everytime they show him?

From the games I've watched, I like what I saw from Girardi. It's no secret our system didn't complement him. Our system doesn't complement anybody to be honest, we can move the puck all day, but until we change this coverage, we're going to be chasing.

Well, the second goal against was an unfortunate bounce off Hank's back. The first goal was just a stupidly bad turnover by Skjei. Otherwise...aside from Holden/Kampfer, it hasn't been bad.

Observations: our outlet passing f***ing sucks tonight and it started with the first shift with Skjei. Too much chipping and chasing rather than controlling the puck. We've been good in the offensive zone, but the other two zones have been horrendous.

Defensively the system is built around trying to force a quick turnover then hit a long pass and score on the rush...

As far as systems go it’s easy to shut down. We see it in the playoffs every year.

Girardi will rear his ugly head in Tampa soon enough. It wasnt just a system thing with him. Same thing with Staal here.

AV's system is so stupid though. Chase the game in your own end, abandon the forecheck in the offensive zone and apply little to no pressure in the NZ and just pray that the other team gets over aggressive and turns it over so you can have numbers going the other way.
