I don't think it has to do with the equipment. He just looks bad. Not seeing the puck and half the goals he's let up have been right in front of the net or deflected.

Pads have nothing to do with the goals that are beating him. A shot through the arm and a shot over the shoulder from far out.

He just looks like he doesn't give a **** and he is due for a bad year. It's been 8 years and he's never had one. Even Ovechkin's had off years.

People will attribute it to the equipment until he bounces back on a new team with a huge year.
 
Even the players admitted the San Jose game was due to lack of effort, yet many Rangers fans tried to rationalize it wasn't.

yeah, his smaller leg pads are giving him a problem with pucks going in under the crossbar.
 
Game 4 and were already talking about trading Lundqvist....really?!

And I think it's funny how badly fans wanted Stepan signed long term. No camp or not, the guy has been a give away machine. This just validates his bridge contract to me.

the answer to this is why do we want to get in the playoffs to be embarrassed in the first round?

i'm afraid Dolan wants the extra ticket revenue though
 
It's time we realize that this era is over. We need a new GM and a rebuild.

We were 1 OT away from game 7 at MSG of the ECF 2 years ago and we blew it. That was our Lundqvist era opportunity and now it's over.

AV will be gone within a few weeks. Sather should be gone at the same time. Time to start planning for 2015-2018.
 
If this continues then nobody on this team should be safe and I mean nobody! Maybe the players want the GM fired next now that the big bad bully behind the bench stealing their lunch money is gone lol
 
so is it time for another "offensive" coach to reevaluate this team and decide they need to grind their way to glory? I mean, they need every bit of shot-blocking, 5 goaltending just to stay in these games.
 
I usually find it hard to kneejerk in a sport with 82 games and huge variability in player performance, but, like, who is the consensus #1 pick in next year's draft again? :(
 
maybe they want to get AV fired already... this is horrible hockey
