give this another month and you'll come round to my view. Trading Hank is sensible from an organizational viewpoint.

Okay, but if you're going to do that, will you A) play the kids, B) NOT make trades for Olli Jokkinens and Nik Antropovs at the deadline and C) actually let team finish with a top 5 pick? Or am I going to have to endure pages and pages more posts about how you always do whatever is necessary to get into the playoffs?

Silver lining is that we might catch Hiller off guard with a shot at some point.

How does talking about trading any player, including Hank, make you some dumbass? I'm
pretty sure smart GM's have traded prime assets for great returns before! You wanna pay him over $8m a year till he's 40? All so we can have the pleasure of watching him waste the rest of his prime here? I'm not saying to definitely trade him but people aren't morons, undeserving of oxygen or beneath you because they dare to ask the question if he should be! Same goes for any other player as well.

Do you honestly believe that? I am curious how you come to such a conclusion. The team is built from him on OUT.

yes. don't think it's because I don't like him or thing he's outstanding. he's both. I honestly believe that if he really wanted to stay in NY he would have signed that contract already. I don't think the delay is posturing or a negotiating tactic - I don't see him re-signing.

We need to get depth back into this organization and we are risking losing him for nothing in the Summer.

and another goal.

I 100% won't. Maybe I'm the only one who doesn't strictly care about winning. When has trading the best goaltender in the world worked out for the team that traded him?

Edit: Of course that happens as I type this.
