3rd round hits or later that salvaged entire drafts?

Hopefully slightly different than just the typical "late round gem exercise", but who do you think as a 3rd round pick or later that in hindsight salvaged entire drafts for a team and/or is worth more than a theoretical full positional redraft in 2025?

I'll define salvage as worth more than the remaining value of that team's draft that year or unknown redraft in 2025 (raw pick value).

I think this criteria may also highlight some non-elite players that wouldn't normally be identified (good but not elite).

I'm just using draft history btw:

-------------
Flames 2018:

Martin Pospisil @ 105 (4th) > Demetrios Koumonzis @ 108 (4th) + Milos Roman @ 122 (4th) + Emilio Pettersen @ 167 (6th) + Dmitry Zavgorodniy at 198 (7th).

I'd say he is worth more than all of the other guys combined in that draft and worth more than 4th + 4th + 6th + 7th in 2025.

2019 draft Calgary Flames:

Dustin Wolf @ 214 (7th) > Pelletier @ 26th (1st) + Ilya Nikolaev @ 88 (3rd) + Lucas Feuk @ 116 (4th) + Josh Nodler @ 150 (5th)

I'd say Wolf is worth more than all of those guys combined (I love Pelletier though) and easily worth more than 2025 1st + 3rd + 4th + 5th unknowns at 26 + 88 + 116 + 150.

Yes... 2011. 😭 and I'd say yes to 2019 and 2010 Flames draft but no to the gems found in the 2015 and 2016 Flames drafts.

------------------------
Minnesota Wild 2015 (Kaprizov), Yotes 2019 (Maccelli), Montreal 2014 (Evans)? Any other interesting ones?

Winnipeg Jets 2012 draft.
1st – Jacob Trouba –was With the New York Rangers now with Ducks
2nd – Lukas Sutter – Out of hockey
3rd – Scott Kosmachuk –
No 4th
5th – Connor Hellebuyck – With the Jets. I say the Jets are pleased with that selection

I knew the Avs would be bad... but you'd need to go back to 2000 to find a hit that fit OP's criteria.

John-Michael Liles in the 5th made the draft acceptable.

Troy Terry, 2015 draft for Anaheim:

Round 1: Jacob Larsson
Round 2: Julius Nattinen
Round 3: Brent Gates
Round 4: Devin Sideroff
Round 5: Troy Terry
Round 6: Steven Ruggerio, Garrett Metcalf

Brutal draft outside of Troy.

G Lukas Dostal, 2018 draft for Anaheim:

Rd 1, pick 23: C Lundestrom
Rd 2, pick 54: C BO Groulx
Rd 3, pick 79: LW Black McLaughlin
Rd 3, pick 85: G Lukas Dostal ⬅️
Rd 4, pick 116: RW Jackson Perbix
Rd 5, pick 147: G Roman Durney
Rd 6, pick 178: D Hunter Drew

Lundestrom is a 3C with minimal offense and probably won't be with the team next season. Not much else to talk about.

Labanc looks like he's holding down the fort for the 2014 Sharks draft.

Sharks were mocked for their 1995 draft, the Finnish focus...absolute horrible overall, but Toskala in the 4th round and Kiprusoff in the fifth were fantastic.

Joe Pavelski in the 7th round does a lot to hide that the Sharks missed out on some elite players in 2003.

(But seriously, Malenstyn has proven he's a solid NHL player, and AJF has carved out a little role for himself as well. Certainly makes up for the whiffs in rounds 1 through 4.)

I didn't realize Kipper helped to salvage that draft for you. That's a really good one. Tidy job flipping Kipper for a second to us, which netted you Vlasic. Huge salvage and later on win/win trade for sure.
