Value of: 3rd Line Center to Edmonton

We have so many extra Fs that ole Jimbo has no leverage dealing with any teams. He’s going to have to retain no matter who he deals. Still need to sign Boes & Goldy.

Too much money headed to Edmonton without any moving out. Sutter also has a M-NTC so he may not even want to come to Edmonton.

If some $$$ was retained there might be a minor deal to be made here.

Darren Helm would fit well and Holland definitely likes him.

At 25% retained he would cost the oilers 2.8 this year and next.

At 50% retained he would cost the oilers 1.9.

I’m not sure what the trade value would be but Helm is quality player and great value at cap hit somewhere between 1.9 and 2.8.
