When Rikoola gets the puck I know he is going to hesitate, take a step to the side and take a rister that gets blocked.
Letang and Marino are the only ones actually getting a puck to the net or to a players stick.
Hell, even JJ is doing a better job than Petterson.

When the '16 Pens "got good" they did it almost entirely without Malkin. Now they're doing it largely without Crosby. Goes to show the caliber of coaching, depth, and star leadership.

This is playoffs 15-16 Pens.

I personally think the 2016 Pens, on the way to the playoffs, were the best team of the entire cap era. And I think this team is an exact duplicate. It doesn't guarantee anything but my lord... have fun taking this team out in a best of 7 if they can stay at this level.

And even when they weren't winning games, they WERE playing with this speed/hustle. If a team beats them in 7, hats off. This team is playing GREAT hockey.

Unfortunately it's a gift and a curse going back to speedy structured play. We have no one that can actually lay someone out. Tanev hits but more of a separation thing. ZAR thinks he can but...well we all watch.

We really are better off just using our hitting to separate the puck and pull away. Frustrating when other teams take liberties but thats not our game. Our game is winning the scoreboard.
