Oilers are in a funk, good time to pounce. McDavid and Draisaitl lead the league with 63 and 61 pts in 41 games. And yet have a plus/minus of -7 and -18 respectively. How is that possible?

They are also 3 games above 500 yet have a goal differential of -11.

Looks like they are vulnerable defensively. Most probably be a high scoring game.

Can’t help but think it would’ve been nice for Hank to start. Both goalies had strong games in their last starts, it not like one was particularly better than the other.

Start the first game of the decade and start the last game of the decade.

Weirdly enough I just looked at the first game of the decade, we lost to Carolina in OT 2-1 with Hank in net. That shows how long ago that was lol.

He's a loser. Like that first goal against... that's not an NHL player I would go to battle with. Maybe the years of losing have taken it's toll, but I think when a player gets rewarded for his draft status and middle of the pack performance, he can become complacent. For a team that's in a free fall, that was one of the weakest ways to start a game.

I was "the last class of the millennium!" in 1999 but not really since 2000 was technically the 1000th class (if you could count it that way)
